The City of Milwaukee has started a traffic safety improvement project on Walnut Street-Lisbon Avenue, spanning from 20th Street to 40th Street. This project will create a safer street environment that is more comfortable for people walking, biking, driving and taking transit. This project will involve installing protected bike lanes along the corridor and additional safety improvements such as bus boarding islands, high visibility crosswalks and bump outs.

Thank you to all the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) members who helped spread the word and attended the Public Open House December 4, 2024! As part of this project, the City will hold a second CAC meeting and would like to invite you, or another member of your organization, to join us.

The CAC meeting will be held in-person at the Rooted & Rising Community Room on Thursday, February 27 from 1-2:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided.
